Happy Summer Everyone!
Growing up in LA during the sixties, the moment school broke for summer, we'd be at Tee's beach in Santa Monica enjoying endless days of tanning, bodysurfing, preening for girls, and otherwise engaging in goofy shenanigans all set against a magnificently diverse backdrop of top 40 hits blasting from 1,000 transistor radios, courtesy of Boss Radio 93 KHJ (more on that below). With the recent passing of Beach Boy Brian Wilson, I’m reminded just how magical those carefree days were.
In this month's newsletter, I'm introducing you to a terrific realtor out of South Florida, sharing some information about Compass Plus, the newest division at Compass, and giving you a first look at a new listing coming soon to Beverly Hills.
So...
"Roll down the window, put down the top. Crank up the Beach Boys, baby, don't let the music stop. We're gonna ride it till, we just can't ride it no more."
With gratitude.

The Real Don Steele was one of a handful of Boss Jocks at 93 KHJ. Amazingly, you can relive his radio show from July 4th, 1968 on YouTube at the link below. It's a time machine back to an era where r&b comingled with rock, which co-existed with pop, folk and country and we were all the better for it.
"...93 KHJ Los Angeles. Boss Radio presents The Doors tomorrow night at the Hollywood Bowl. I’ve got a free pair of choice seats now for the 5th person to call me on the boss line."
Turning Fantasy into Reality: Meet Erik Ginsberg
Love it or not, the popularity of Fantasy Sports is undeniable, and my friend Erik Ginsberg is in no small way, partially responsible. You see before he began his successful career in real estate, he was a project manager at CBSsports.com and was part of the team that launched fantasy sports online. Now, this father of two spends his time helping clients convert their real estate dreams into reality in South Florida’s beautiful beach communities of Boynton, Delrey and Boca.
If you’ve been fantasizing about South Florida, my sleeper pick is to insert Erik into your starting lineup as your RE1. In the meantime, you can meet him virtually in the short video below.
Navigating the Next Chapter
I am proud to announce I’ve accepted a position on the Board of Compass Plus, a specialized division within Compass dedicated to serving the needs of older adults in transition.
Recently I was asked “what does it take to become a Compass Plus member?”
First and foremost, it takes a desire to be of service. The work isn’t about quick closings or easy commissions. These transitions take time and are often quite emotional. Second, all Compass Plus members are required to become Certified Senior Advisors by completing an in-depth training course. Finally, to receive our certification, we must pass an ethics course and undergo a background check.
So why make this commitment?
In our culture, with so many negative misperceptions around aging, many are filled with fear and uncertainty about their available options. As a Compass Plus agent, my training gives me insights into that mindset along with specialized skills and resources to better advise them and their families as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives.
No matter where you are in this journey; whether you’re helping a loved one now or simply gathering information for future planning, I’d enjoy being a resource you can rely on.
A Prayer for Peace
Brian Wilson, the architect of the Beach Boys sound, passed away last week at the age of 82. And, you certainly don't need another obituary from me. But as I watch our world be consumed with so much, fear, strife, and war, I find solace in the simple beauty and strength of Brian's complex vocal harmonies.
R.I.P. sweet angel.
The Canyon Chateau
Along with life on the sand in Malibu, Canyon living is the quintessential LA experience; clean air, nature and a slower pace that offers time to think, feel and create.
I’m excited to bring this one to market soon.
