It's a Small World: Navigating the Path to "Yes"

It's a Small World: Navigating the Path to "Yes"

Greetings Friends.

Living in Los Angeles, we are constantly surrounded by a culture of "yes." Yes to the pitch. Yes to the ask. Yes to the big dream. It’s a town built on boundless optimism. Yet, real power actually lies in the discipline of saying "no." Whether we are navigating the complexities of the current market or just trying to find our own sense of peace, knowing when to walk away from the wrong situation is what ultimately gives us the freedom to say an enthusiastic "yes" to the right one.

In this month’s newsletter, I’m thrilled to introduce you to Adriana Faerman, a fellow Certified Senior Advisor who brings a sophisticated, multicultural perspective and deep empathy to Miami’s high-energy real estate market. I am also exploring how integral mutual trust is to the health of the often complex and co-dependent relationship between agent and client. Finally, if your ideal lifestyle includes mornings at Runyon and evenings at the Bowl, here’s a first look at Villa Lorelei, a beautifully private, 5-bedroom Art Deco retreat tucked away in the elite Outpost Estates.

With gratitude/ps

From Buenos Aires to Biscayne Bay: Meet Adriana Faerman

Adriana Faerman is the kind of agent you want in a market that moves fast. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, she brings a sophisticated, multicultural perspective to Miami’s high-energy real estate market, a background that serves her well when navigating the complexities of international relocations and high-stakes investments. She’s lived in Southeast Florida for more than two decades, and her work is rooted in real, street-level expertise that makes buyers, sellers, and investors feel steady even when the process is anything but.

But, what I admire most is how she shows up for the human side of real estate. As a fellow Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), Adriana has deep experience guiding seniors and families through major life transitions with equal parts empathy, clarity, and sharp negotiation. If you or anyone you know is eyeing the sun-drenched communities of Miami-Dade or Broward, I would love to introduce you to Adriana. In the meantime, you can meet her in the short video below.

Trust Isn't Claimed. It's Proven

Trust is the foundation of any lasting relationship, but within the sphere of professional representation, it carries profound weight. The agent/client connection is complex and deeply co-dependent; the client relies on the agent’s specialized expertise and integrity, while the agent’s professional and financial standing is built upon the client’s success.

Real trust isn’t a given, nor can it be demanded upfront. It has to be earned over time and is most often revealed in high-pressure moments when stakes are highest. It grows when an advisor is willing to tell a client what they need to hear, not simply what they want to hear. It deepens when guidance is rooted in protecting the client’s long-term interests, even when that choice might be less convenient or less profitable. At its best, trust creates the confidence that the person representing you is not simply managing a transaction, but protecting your best interests with consistency, discipline, and care.

In this short video I detail a few of the simple touches I employ to help my clients understand I have their best interests at heart.

Spring Redemption

Each spring, Jews around the world celebrate Passover (Pesach) to commemorate the Israelites’ liberation from slavery in ancient Egypt. It is marked with a seder, where the story of the Exodus is retold through readings, symbolic foods, and questions, especially to teach each new generation what oppression and liberation mean. It is not just “something that happened once.” It is meant to be experienced as a living reminder that freedom is fragile and worth protecting. And, depending on your age and who made the matzoh balls, it can be a grind.

That’s why the Bob Marley Passover (where do you think his songs Exodus and Redemption Song came from?) is such a breath of fresh air.

Now, admittedly, it’s not for everyone. So, if radical inclusivity (“Shank Bones” and “Gay Oranges”) isn’t your bag, move on. But if you want to reframe your Seder as a “conversation game” and are okay with Moses being compared to Liam Neeson, feel free to to download the Service at the link below.
